About Us

The Foundation For Bryan A. Leach and The B.U.G Factory aka Basic Urban Gear was created by the late Bryan A. Leach aka “LEACH” “Road Runner” “The Legend” “Black Wall Street” (Chicago Basket Ball Playground Legend, Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Friend, Mentor). Bryan brought his vision of Urban Clothing Store to life in 1995 on the south side of Chicago, Grand Crossing Neighborhood (aka The Pocket/Pocket Town).

Bryan’s dream was to bring the shopping experience of Michigan Ave/North Side stores to the inner city. Leach provided the BEST clothing experience and entertainment from Bad Boys recording label with BIGGIE signing his newly released CD, to Styling Jodeci, Total, Crucial Conflict, Fashion Shows, and Concerts at the Park West. As well as sponsoring several celebrity basketball tournaments for youth in his community. Leach always reached back in supporting his community and paying it forward to the youth.

On September 8, 2019 Chicago Park District renamed Hoad Park basketball court on 72nd Dobson, Chicago IL, to the “Bryan A. Leach Basket Ball Court” In honor of Leach’s legendary basketball skills and his love for the community and youth services.

Leach’s sons; Cody, Marley, and Christopher Leach are now dedicated to continuing the legacy of Bryan with the Foundation for Bryan A. Leach by providing underprivileged youth with opportunities they did not have before. We will continue to service the community and our youth by hosting back-to-school giveaways to help offset the cost of school supplies for parents.
